27th Annual Neuroscience Symposium

The Eastern Carolina Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience (ECCSfN) humbly invites you to attend the 27th Annual Neuroscience Symposium! It is open to anyone with an interest in neuroscience (research, clinical, and applied). An abbreviated Neuroscience Symposium Schedule 2025 is available along with the full program booklet. The event will be held in-person and offers a wonderful line-up of talks from experts from Duke University, North Carolina Central University, UNC-Chapel Hill, and East Carolina University. It will also have poster sessions offered by students, postdoctoral scholars, medical residents, and residents. The Symposium will again be held on Halloween and costumes are encouraged!
This year we are extremely excited to have Dr. Andrew West from Duke University as our keynote speaker:
“Genetic Risks and New Toxicant Challenges in Neurodegenerative Diseases”

Registration and Abstract Submission: Online registration is now closed; please register at the Registration Desk on October 31st.
- The abstract deadline for posters and talks is Monday, October 27th at 5:00PM EDT. If you are submitting an abstract, then additional registration is not needed.
- Online registration for attendance at the symposium is open up to 5:00PM EDT on October 29th. After this date, attendees can register in-person at the Check-In/Registration Desk on October 31st.
- There is no registration fee. Donations are graciously accepted at the Registration Desk on 10/31. If donations are made by check, please make it payable to: Eastern Carolina Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience.
- Poster printing: Instructions found here. PIs will need to cover the cost of their students’ poster printing charges.
